Flowering Vascular Plant Families
The sequence of families on this page follows the phylogenetic outline of
Judd et al. (2002) for those families included in their treatment.
Additional families (in green typeface) have been
intercalated based on the outline provided by the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group (APG,
1998). Select a family for information and photos. This site was originally
created for Botany
461, a plant systematics course offered by the Botany Department, University
of Hawaii. The full-sized images linked to thumbnail
images on the subsequent pages are generally 600x400, 400x600, 400x400 pixels
or larger. File sizes are mostly in the range of 50-350 kb (JPEG). If you are not
familiar with this classification system, use the find or search feature of your browser to locate
the family of choice on this page (or go to the alphabetical
listing of families).
