Today our cultural heritage faces threats and challenges – including climate change, urbanization, overtourism, natural disasters, and human conflicts – that make conservation efforts more and more compelling and urgent. The complexity of this phenomenon requires interdisciplinary approaches integrating diverse scientific methodologies and recent technological innovations to ensure the longevity of cultural assets.

The Journal «Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage» aims to promote the understanding and conservation of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, through scientific research and technology applied to the evidence of our shared history, ranging from archaeological sites and artifacts to traditions and languages. Our purpose is to serve as an international platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to share knowledge, insights, and best practices; by bridging the gap between science, technology, and cultural heritage, we intend to facilitate a valuable collaboration and foster innovative solutions to the challenges facing cultural preservation.

The Journal welcomes high quality contributions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the following research areas: Museology and Art conservation and restoration; Preservation, analysis, restoration, and interpretation of written artifacts, ancient and modern; Non-invasive imaging and sensing techniques for artifact analysis; Digital documentation and virtual reconstruction; Conservation science and materials research; Cultural heritage management and policy; Ethical considerations in heritage preservation; Text encoding; The use of AI in the field of cultural and heritage studies.
