About the Journal

The Ars Bilduma journal (ISSN 1989-9262) is an annual electronic open-access journal that originated at the heart the Humanities Faculty's History of Art and Music Department (Vitoria-Gasteiz) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2009. The journal is sponsored by the UPV/EHU Art History Department and edited by the Editorial Service of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).

We count on quality and therefore all our articles are peer reviewed (double blind). We also try to always improve our indexing and issuing. We have just become part of Emerging Sources Citation Index, Art Source and Academic Plus.

Our objective is to spread knowledge, publishing research articles in the field of Art History and its specialties, both in its theoretical and practical aspects, in ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary art; scenic and audio-visual arts, museology and conservation of artistic heritage.
