The Journal of Road Safety (JRS) accepts papers from all regions around the world and publishes a diverse range of high-quality papers on road safety from researchers, policymakers, program implementers, and other road safety experts. Our Editorial Board and reviewers ensure the best papers are accepted into the Journal, to provide a rich source of current knowledge, evidence, developments, and best practice to those interested in road safety.

How can I access the JRS?

The Journal is published quarterly (February, May, August, November) and electronic copies are emailed to members two weeks before publication, and again on the publication date. JRS articles are available online for free viewing or download at journalofroadsafety.org. How can I contribute to the JRS?

There are a number of accepted article types that you can submit to the Journal, from peer-reviewed articles to contributed articles. You can visit the Author page to learn more about the requirements for each type, as well as to download the author instructions and Word template.

If your article is accepted into an edition of the JRS, you will be given the opportunity to write in our Author Corner in the Weekly Alert, our weekly e-newsletter. The Author Corner allows you to give some context to your article and tell readers a bit more about you and the work that you do.
